Spectators: 6702 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Traian Pădure started the match with the kick off. Cerisor SC's Emanuel Hurdubețiu got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Cerisor SC's Emanuel Hurdubețiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mugurel Vâlcu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabian Berbec's late challenge caught a Cerisor SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Berbec helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Zavalu CF's Fabian Berbec got a free kick in the 11th minute. Mugurel Vâlcu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Hurdubețiu's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Cerisor SC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Agulescu came free, but Emilian Marica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Hurdubețiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Vâlcu having to interfere. Emanuel Hurdubețius short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Mugurel Vâlcu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ivan Ficsinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Zavalu CF booed when Cerisor SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Constantiniu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonard Agulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emanuel Hurdubețiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Mugurel Vâlcu made a huge save. When Cerisor SC's Traian Pădure in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zavalu CF's goalie prevented a goal. Emilian Marica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Uncheşelu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Gelu Şuţu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerisor SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Şuţu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mugurel Vâlcu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emilian Marica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Agulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the game, one of Zavalu CF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Cerisor SC a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stelian Constantiniu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zavalu CF's Mugurel Vâlcu. 1-0. In the 65th minute, Alexandru Frumușanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cerisor SC's Emilian Marica got control of the ball when Cătălin Uncheşelu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cătălin Uncheşelu got free with Emilian Marica in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Alexandru Frumușanu fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerisor SC's protests and gave Alexandru Frumușanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Cerisor SC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Frumușanu. Narcis Zbârciog, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Cerisor SC's Traian Pădure made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mugurel Vâlcu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute, Emanuel Hurdubețiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mugurel Vâlcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Frumușanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugurel Vâlcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Pădure in the 87th minute of the match. Emanuel Hurdubețiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Traian Pădure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Hurdubețiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mugurel Vâlcu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Hurdubețiu ran back to his position shaking his head. Cerisor SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Zavalu CF for a fine match.
