Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stelian Daraban started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Valeriu Bogatu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viilor AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Bogatu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radu Bălașa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 minutes, Stelian Daraban made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Viilor AC's Silviu Gârneț tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Viilor AC's Silviu Gârneț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Daraban in the 16th minute of play. Mestera CSS's Stelian Daraban got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valeriu Bogatu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Robert Fânaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radu Bălașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Bobocea in the 26th minute of play. Ionel Lăzărescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Niculae Bobocea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Bălașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radu Bălașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Bogatu in the 37th minute of play. Stelian Daraban was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Mestera CSS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valeriu Bogatu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niculae Bobocea hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Stelian Daraban put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Silviu Gârneț. Silviu Gârneț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stelian Daraban's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. If Marian Costeiantu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Horea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Silviu Gârneț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Niculae Bobocea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valeriu Bogatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stelian Daraban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Silviu Gârneț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mestera CSS's Viorel Muscă suffered a concussion after 73 minutes and had to leave the field. Mestera CSS's Daniel Groza was substituted for Viorel Muscă. In the 75th match minute, Viilor AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Rainea to maneuver through the defense. Stelian Daraban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valeriu Bogatu kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Silviu Gârneț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Daraban, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Silviu Gârneț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Horea in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Viilor AC's Panait Rainea got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Viilor AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Mircescu to maneuver through the defense. Niculae Bobocea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Viilor AC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mestera CSS.
