Laurențiu Goma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Cernat having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Francisc Şumălan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Cernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Goma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Cernat came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C.BABOIU79's Francisc Şumălan. But to his dismay, Francisc Şumălan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 27 minutes, Laurențiu Goma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.BABOIU79's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurențiu Goma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Valeriu Titulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Damian Găvănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.BABOIU79's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Găvănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisc Şumălan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 minutes of play, F.C.BABOIU79's Laurențiu Goma made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Cernat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fc. Grivita's Martin Cernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisc Şumălan in the 44th minute of play. Laurențiu Goma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Cernat having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moise Zamfir to strike the kick off in the second half. Damian Găvănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 53 minutes into the match, Donn McBrand dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martin Cernat, 0-5. With a little luck, Fc. Grivita's Martin Cernat got control of the ball when Francisc Şumălan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute, Francisc Şumălan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Calistrat Bota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Zamfir in the 81st minute of play. Fc. Grivita's Moise Zamfir got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laurențiu Goma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Fc. Grivita's Martin Cernat got control of the ball when Damian Găvănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Cernat came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C.BABOIU79's Damian Găvănescu. But to his dismay, Damian Găvănescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. F.C.BABOIU79's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
