Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) Gruni's Marius Pădureanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Gruni from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, CFR Teiuş's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Nechifor came free, but Ovidiu Şimonca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Horia Nechifor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Şimonca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marius Pădureanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by António Pinto in the 21st minute. António Pinto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Marius Pădureanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ovidiu Şimonca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Emilianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doru Mureșan got free with Marius Pădureanu in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergiu Teodoreanu hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Doru Mureșan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marius Pădureanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Doru Mureșan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 31st minute. António Pinto had several of the Gruni's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Marius Pădureanu as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 45 minutes, Sergiu Teodoreanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gruni and the CFR Teiuş players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Gruni got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Teodoreanu. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Mureșan in the 52nd minute of play forced Gruni's goalkeeper Marius Pădureanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, António Pinto put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marius Pădureanu. António Pinto struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Marius Pădureanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CFR Teiuş. If Robert Emilianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Doru Mureșan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Pădureanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Pinto struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Marius Pădureanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CFR Teiuş. Francisc Hurmuz charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Hurmuz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gruni's goalkeeper Marius Pădureanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marius Pădureanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Reznic in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, António Pinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CFR Teiuş fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0.
