Spectators: 6842 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 140) Burzonesti's Ioan Mincă started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Costică Mititelu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Ioan Mincă put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marin Mantoiu. After 10 minutes, Avram Spirache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meteleu UFC and the Burzonesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Burzonesti booed when Meteleu UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Spirache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costică Mititelu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meteleu UFC's Marin Mantoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Ceaușu in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Meteleu UFC got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Bâru. Marin Mantoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioan Mincă in the 27th minute of the match. With a little luck, Burzonesti's Iacob Bara got control of the ball when Șerban Ţirpescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Costică Mititelu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burzonesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costică Mititelu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eugen Ceaușu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Meteleu UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Ceaușu came free, but Marin Mantoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Emanuel Pascaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Meteleu UFC's Nichifor Bâru seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nichifor Bâru the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Meteleu UFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nichifor Bâru had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 43 minutes into the game, one of Meteleu UFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Șerban Ţirpescu made the kick off in the second half. Iacob Bara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Ţirpescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugen Ceaușu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marin Mantoiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Eugen Ceaușu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ioan Mincă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burzonesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ioan Mincă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marin Mantoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Flavio Leopardi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Marin Mantoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Mititelu in the 74th minute. Marin Mantoiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugen Ceaușu went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Ioan Mincă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marin Mantoiu was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Costică Mititelu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ioan Mincă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Meteleu UFC's Marin Mantoiu got control of the ball when Ioan Mincă tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Ceaușu in the 94th minute of play forced Meteleu UFC's goalkeeper Marin Mantoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ioan Mincă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burzonesti played a much better game than Meteleu UFC and deserved their victory. The Meteleu UFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
