Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ionică Nisipeanu got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Constantin Săvescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristi Hagi in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costică Lupoi saved Zimbreasca AFC from getting behind. Gheorghe Gliga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Vasile Vişan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Costică Lupoi. Zimbreasca AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasile Vişan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cristi Hagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vasile Vişan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasile Vişan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Lupoi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zimbreasca AFC's zone, Cristi Hagi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costică Lupoi came out of the goal and Cristi Hagi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Costică Lupoi came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Soveja's Constantin Săvescu. But to his dismay, Constantin Săvescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Zimbreasca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vasile Vişan came free, but Costică Lupoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristi Hagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Costică Lupoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zimbreasca AFC's Costică Lupoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Vişan in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Cristi Hagi managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Soveja's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristi Hagi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costică Lupoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the match, Zimbreasca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Hagi came free, but Costică Lupoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gheorghe Gliga made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by F.C. Soveja's Constantin Săvescu. When Vasile Vişan came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the F.C. Soveja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasile Vişan couldn't finish the play. After the first half F.C. Soveja were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Zimbreasca AFC's Gavril Alupulesei got a free kick in the 50th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. Soveja's Vasile Vişan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Costică Lupoi. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. Alessandro Nesta kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, F.C. Soveja's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Gliga came free, but Laurențiu Maniu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zimbreasca AFC's Costică Lupoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Zimbreasca AFC from getting a goal against them. F.C. Soveja's Sabin Coidum managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gigi Răducanu in the 75 minute of the game. Zimbreasca AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Vasile Vişan scored to the left of an out of position Costică Lupoi, making the score, 0-7. The audience was convinced that Cristi Hagi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costică Lupoi was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 82nd match minute, Zimbreasca AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Alupulesei to maneuver through the defense. Alin Vaida kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Vasile Vişan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Cristi Hagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Lupoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costică Lupoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasile Vişan in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded F.C. Soveja left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zimbreasca AFC.
