Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Captalani's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Purje came free, but Dan Alexa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Captalani's Dan Alexa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Năsturel in the 9th minute of play. Emil Geamănu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Filip Ţeica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AS PROGRESUL DOMNEŞTI's zone, Emil Geamănu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Ţeica came out of the goal and Emil Geamănu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Ţeica came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Captalani's Iacob Geoană. But to his dismay, Iacob Geoană quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Dan Baciu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filip Ţeica. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Aurel Năsturel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Captalani's Dan Alexa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dan Alexa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Purje in the 26th minute of the match. Dan Alexa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Cârnu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute, Nechifor Apetroaiei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Alexa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Filip Ţeica made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Dan Baciu sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Baciu made a kick off. Filip Ţeica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Baciu in the 57th minute of the match. Nistor Ianculescu hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Maxim Văcăroiu made in the 66th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nechifor Apetroaiei immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Dan Baciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filip Ţeica was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Aurel Năsturel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Alexa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Nechifor Apetroaiei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dan Alexa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in AS PROGRESUL DOMNEŞTI's zone, Iacob Geoană stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Ţeica came out of the goal and Iacob Geoană tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Captalani's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aurel Năsturel was slow to take the kick. During this time AS PROGRESUL DOMNEŞTI's players had a chance to rest. Ferdinand Lăzărescu tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Dan Alexa. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-3 in the 81st minute. With an all-out effort, AS PROGRESUL DOMNEŞTI's Dan Alexa threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Corneliu Purje, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corneliu Purje in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Alexa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, AS PROGRESUL DOMNEŞTI's Corneliu Purje dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. 95 minutes into the match, Captalani's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Purje came free, but Dan Alexa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Captalani's Iacob Geoană got a free kick in the 96th minute. The AS PROGRESUL DOMNEŞTI supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AS PROGRESUL DOMNEŞTI would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
