Nae Andrieșanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Boșneag in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Once Upon a Time's Costin Milescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiberiu Pogea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 12 played minutes Gernyeszeg CF got a freekick which was hit by Costin Epure. The supporters of Gernyeszeg CF booed when Once Upon a Time was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Macarie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Once Upon a Time's Nae Andrieșanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Boieru in the 23rd minute of play. Gigel Boieru might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nae Andrieșanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gigel Boieru ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Once Upon a Time's Edgar Pantilimon got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Gernyeszeg CF's Gigel Boieru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nae Andrieșanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Costin Milescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Pogea having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gigel Boieru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ilie Taşcu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Once Upon a Time's Nae Andrieșanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Once Upon a Time from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Once Upon a Time's Nae Andrieșanu got control of the ball when Codrin Boșneag tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Costin Milescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Once Upon a Time's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costin Milescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelian Olariu hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Codrin Boșneag could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Nae Andrieșanu made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Mădălin Ionaș managed to get in a good position for a shot. Once Upon a Time's supporters rose to their feet, but Mădălin Ionaș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiberiu Pogea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Romeo Chilian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiberiu Pogea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Milescu in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Ilie Taşcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costin Milescu hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Once Upon a Time's zone, Gigel Boieru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nae Andrieșanu came out of the goal and Gigel Boieru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gernyeszeg CF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Iordache Duca hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Aurelian Olariu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiberiu Pogea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Macarie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Once Upon a Time booed when Gernyeszeg CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Olariu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Victor Brășneanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Once Upon a Time's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Brășneanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
