Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 7thth minute of the game Vali Baniciu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC STEAUA Bucuresti's Eduard Ştefănucă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 9th play minutes Vali Baniciu shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Eduard Ştefănucă and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, FC STEAUA Bucuresti's Cornel Mortu got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Adam Pumnu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC STEAUA Bucuresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racaciuni the free kick. Gonzo Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Mortu in the 16th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Vali Baniciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduard Ştefănucă was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Cornel Mortu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Adam Pumnu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC STEAUA Bucuresti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Pumnu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Codruț Dragu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. FC STEAUA Bucuresti:s Eduard Ştefănucă showed great skill when he stopped Emil Abutnăriței:s penalty. In the 33rd minute, Emil Abutnăriței left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racaciuni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Eduard Ştefănucă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Nechifor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduard Ignătescu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Gigi Neagoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurel Nechifor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Eduard Ştefănucă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Vali Baniciu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, FC STEAUA Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Mortu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Racaciuni's Moise Blajovan got a free kick in the 55th minute. Adam Pumnu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gelu Breazu during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes FC STEAUA Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Breazu. Vali Baniciu struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Eduard Ştefănucă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racaciuni. Aurel Nechifor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Eduard Ştefănucă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurel Nechifor in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eduard Ştefănucă, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eduard Ştefănucă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vali Baniciu's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that Vali Baniciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduard Ştefănucă was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Aurel Nechifor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Ştefănucă having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Aurel Nechifor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Racaciuni played a much better game than FC STEAUA Bucuresti and deserved their victory. The FC STEAUA Bucuresti players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
