In the 19thth minute of the game Vali Baniciu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC STEAUA Bucuresti's Eduard Ştefănucă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurel Nechifor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Eduard Ştefănucă made a huge save. With a little luck, FC STEAUA Bucuresti's Eduard Ştefănucă got control of the ball when Aurel Nechifor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 80th minute, Vali Baniciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Racaciuni's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Cornel Mortu scored to the left of an out of position Gonzo Navarro, making the score, 2-4. 88 minutes into the match, Racaciuni's goalkeeper Gonzo Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Pumnu. Aurel Nechifor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Racaciuni lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
