When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavian Calboreanu made a kick off. After some careless play in the Verpole defense, Octavian Calboreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manole Azamfirei. The Verpole fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manole Azamfirei should have stopped the shot. Octavian Calboreanu struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Manole Azamfirei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Studinita AFC. 60 minutes in the game, Laurențiu Sandu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Manole Azamfirei having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karol Poling during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Verpole getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Karol Poling hit a great ball. Grigore Stolniciu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manole Azamfirei. Verpole's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Octavian Calboreanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manole Azamfirei. Verpole's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavian Calboreanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavian Calboreanu got free with Manole Azamfirei in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Iordache Avădanei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 70 minutes, Paul Calota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Studinita AFC and the Verpole players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Studinita AFC's Octavian Calboreanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manole Azamfirei. That made the score 1-4 after 72 minutes of play. Verpole's Manole Azamfirei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Sandu in the 79th minute of play. Octavian Calboreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Azamfirei having to interfere.
