Spectators: 7422 (Terracing: 5567, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) Birsoiu's Alfredo Fanuco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Laurențiu Sandu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Studinita AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurențiu Sandu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gheorghe Groza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 4 played minutes Studinita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Costin Dică. After 5 played minutes Birsoiu got a freekick which was hit by Robert Trifu. Gheorghe Groza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Calboreanu in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Sandu in the 10th minute of play forced Birsoiu's goalkeeper Gheorghe Groza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Laurențiu Sandu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Birsoiu's Gheorghe Groza. Gheorghe Groza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Birsoiu booed when Studinita AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Sandu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Alfredo Fanuco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valer Vrabie, 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Birsoiu's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Sandu came free, but Gheorghe Groza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gheorghe Groza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Sandu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gheorghe Groza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Calboreanu in the 24th minute of the match. Birsoiu's Gheorghe Groza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Bădoi in the 25th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Maxim Bădoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gheorghe Groza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Laurențiu Sandu hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Maxim Bădoi notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Birsoiu's Gheorghe Groza. Gheorghe Groza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 42 minutes into the match, Birsoiu's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Bădoi came free, but Gheorghe Groza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 49 minutes, Alfredo Fanuco took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Valer Vrabie to make any attempt to save it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octavian Calboreanu to make the kick off. Alfredo Fanuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Vrabie having to interfere. In the 58th minute Octavian Calboreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Groza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birsoiu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Laurențiu Sandu scored to the left of an out of position Gheorghe Groza, making the score, 2-4. In the 63rd minute Laurențiu Sandu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Groza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Studinita AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costin Dică to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Maxim Bădoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gheorghe Groza. Maxim Bădoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. 75 minutes into the match, Octavian Calboreanu notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Birsoiu's Gheorghe Groza. Gheorghe Groza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Paul Calota put in a rough tackle. In the 80th minute, Paul Calota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute Rareș Iorgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Vrabie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Octavian Calboreanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gheorghe Groza. That made the score 2-8 in the 91 minute of play. In the 97th minute, Florin Cârneci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98thth minute of the game Alfredo Fanuco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Studinita AFC's Valer Vrabie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Studinita AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
