The supporters of Sabolciu UFC booed when Zabrani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Secoşan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiberiu Drăgan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rareș Zbughină went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Zabrani's zone, Horaţiu Furdui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Drăgan came out of the goal and Horaţiu Furdui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rareș Zbughină struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tiberiu Drăgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabolciu UFC. In the 80th match minute, Sabolciu UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Zbughină to maneuver through the defense. Zabrani's Horea Secoşan got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rareș Zbughină fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Drăgan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zabrani's Mihăiţă Simionescu got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rareș Zbughină received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tiberiu Drăgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosmin Miclauș got free with Valentin Dobrea in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sabolciu UFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
