After having played for 15 minutes, Marian Trăiloiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciomartan CSM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Trăiloiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 20 played minutes Sabolciu UFC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Nisipeanu. A collision led to Ciomartan CSM getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gavril Apostu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Rareș Zbughină managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabolciu UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rareș Zbughină was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristide Mazăre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nistor Hrib's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Aristide Mazăre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gavril Apostu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ciomartan CSM's Gavril Apostu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Manuel Mirciulescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aristide Mazăre could save by the left post. 40 minutes into the game, Nistor Hrib was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sabolciu UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciomartan CSM the free kick. Nistor Hrib hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Sabolciu UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Trăiloiu came free, but Valentin Dobrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Pavel Neagoe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sabolciu UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciomartan CSM the free kick. After 42 played minutes Sabolciu UFC got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Neagoe. In the 48th minute Filip Pușcașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Dobrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nistor Hrib to make the kick off. Nicolae Săvescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Valentin Dobrea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Adam Culcer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristide Mazăre came out of the goal and Nistor Hrib tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Marian Trăiloiu took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Valentin Dobrea to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Ciomartan CSM booed when Sabolciu UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Ungureanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Filip Pușcașu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valentin Dobrea, 0-2. Damian Cînu kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
