Panait Buhăescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th match minute, F.C Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Pintea to maneuver through the defense. Panait Buhăescu struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Teodor Ipătescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Rapid Bucuresti. Meseriasii's Teodor Ipătescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Şneapotă in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Olimpiu Melentie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meseriasii fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some careless play in the Meseriasii defense, Panait Buhăescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodor Ipătescu. The Meseriasii fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodor Ipătescu should have stopped the shot. Nicolae Ţeica's late challenge caught a F.C Rapid Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolae Ţeica helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolae Ţeica kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Iustin Gherghescu sped through Meseriasii's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teodor Ipătescu. After 34 played minutes Meseriasii got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Mușetescu. Teodor Ipătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Gherghescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Panait Buhăescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Panait Buhăescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodor Ipătescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute Panait Buhăescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Ipătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panait Buhăescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Teodor Ipătescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Meseriasii players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C Rapid Bucuresti were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iustin Gherghescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Iustin Gherghescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Meseriasii's zone, Iustin Gherghescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodor Ipătescu came out of the goal and Iustin Gherghescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panait Buhăescu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristi Mușetescu in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valeriu Prodan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience held their breath when George Mestecăneanu in the 74th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Valeriu Prodan's left hand side. 79 minutes into the game, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Panait Buhăescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodor Ipătescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Valeriu Prodan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Mușetescu in the 83rd minute of the match. Valeriu Prodan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Melentie in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Iustin Gherghescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panait Buhăescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Ipătescu having to interfere. The supporters of Meseriasii booed when F.C Rapid Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustin Gherghescu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
