If Octavian Simionică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Călin Cunea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurel Lixandru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Florin Dragnea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidiu Aluchei got free with Călin Cunea in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Real Madrid defense, Octavian Simionică kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Călin Cunea. The Real Madrid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Călin Cunea should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Real Madrid's zone, Octavian Simionică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Călin Cunea came out of the goal and Octavian Simionică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidiu Aluchei struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Călin Cunea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vezuri. In the 35th match minute, Vezuri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Puișoru to maneuver through the defense. Octavian Simionică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Călin Cunea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Octavian Simionică's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Călin Cunea was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. The Vezuri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. With a little luck, Vezuri's Petruț Chitimia got control of the ball when Gigel Gușatu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Călin Cunea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Lixandru in the 67th minute of the match. Vezuri walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
