After a rather tough play, Rangers FC's Horia Urderean got a free kick in the 7th minute. Iurie Corbu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Rangers FC's Eduard Vişoianu got control of the ball when Valer Stolnicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Marcel Crușeveanu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of F.C Tineretu's Cristinel Ciordaș. Cristinel Ciordaș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard, long distance shot from Dorel Cotoi flew over the goal. Răzvan Arsenescu charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Răzvan Arsenescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rangers FC booed when F.C Tineretu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Arsenescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Mădălin Axinia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Ciordaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristinel Ciordaș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Crușeveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Eduard Vişoianu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valer Stolnicu in the 32nd minute. Gelu Jurcuț's late challenge caught a F.C Tineretu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Jurcuț helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Jurcuț to maneuver through the defense. Cristinel Ciordaș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Cotoi in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Crușeveanu in the 43rd minute of play forced F.C Tineretu's goalkeeper Cristinel Ciordaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valer Stolnicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Vişoianu having to interfere. F.C Tineretu's Costel Schipor suffered a sore knee after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 47th minute of the match Gelu Jurcuț completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gelu Jurcuț a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. F.C Tineretu made a substitution. Ivan Iacobescu replaced Costel Schipor. Gelu Jurcuț kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valer Stolnicu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes in the game, Marcel Crușeveanu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cristinel Ciordaș having to interfere. Radu Cernescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Vişoianu having to interfere. Dacian Chiliman kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Stolnicu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, F.C Tineretu's Cristinel Ciordaș got control of the ball when Marcel Crușeveanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcel Crușeveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Ciordaș having to interfere. Marcel Crușeveanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Cristinel Ciordaș when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Radu Cernescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Stolnicu got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of F.C Tineretu booed when Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Stolnicu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dacian Chiliman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cristinel Ciordaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Ivan Iacobescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduard Vişoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Stolnicu in the 99th minute of play. The F.C Tineretu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rangers FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rangers FC.
