If Ionel Gâfu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Victoria M.Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Mateescu came free, but Sebastian Achifoaiei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Blehanii's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Tokarczyk came free, but Gelu Stafie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victoria M.Buzau were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Blehanii's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sorin Alexandru took the corner. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viorel Mateescu made a kick off. Sebastian Achifoaiei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Mateescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 69th play minutes Gelu Arapașu shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Sebastian Achifoaiei and just under the crossbar into goal. Stelian Cândrea kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match.
