With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Tiberian in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisc Cozorici saved Viitorul FC from getting behind. Cristi Vâlcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Cozorici having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Viitorul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Neagoe to maneuver through the defense. After 14 minutes of play, Babiciul FCM's Cristi Vâlcu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisc Cozorici was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Robert Tiberian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Susara in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mircea Magheru saved Babiciul FCM from getting behind. Cristi Vâlcu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisc Cozorici read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Babiciul FCM booed when Viitorul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Neagoe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Babiciul FCM's Iordache Chifan tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 31 minutes, Eduard Susara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viitorul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduard Susara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Babiciul FCM's Mircea Magheru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Susara in the 37th minute of play. Viitorul FC's Flavius Maxim got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristi Vâlcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mircea Magheru came out of the goal and Flavius Maxim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristi Vâlcu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisc Cozorici read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Șerban Neagoe's late challenge caught a Babiciul FCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Șerban Neagoe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Viitorul FC's goalie and right to Remus Inculeț. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Viitorul FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Francisc Cozorici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Tiberian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Tiberian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute.
