Francisc Cozorici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Mustea, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The Viitorul FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduard Susara to strike the kick off in the second half. Cimpuri FCM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristi Dobrica ran over to the corner to take the kick. Virgil Drogoreanu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Aron Mustea took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisc Cozorici. Francisc Cozorici dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Cimpuri FCM's Eusebiu Simion got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cimpuri FCM had played much better football throughout.
