Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Eggenschwiler in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergiu Baniu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 7 minutes, Gică Balaeț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grivita FC 1992 - BTF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gică Balaeț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the game, Sorin Hârțan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cimpuri FCM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grivita FC 1992 - BTF the free kick. If Eusebiu Simion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Emilian Jurăscu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sergiu Baniu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the game, Grivita FC 1992 - BTF's Emilian Jurăscu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergiu Baniu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to Cimpuri FCM getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sorin Hârțan hit a great ball. After 33 minutes, Eusebiu Simion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cimpuri FCM and the Grivita FC 1992 - BTF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, one of Grivita FC 1992 - BTF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grivita FC 1992 - BTF. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Cimpuri FCM. Dragoş Goanță stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iulian Manciulescu. 1-3. Alessandro Masi scored 1-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergiu Baniu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aron Mustea was the one to do the kick off. Aron Mustea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iulian Manciulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Simion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergiu Baniu was a little too slow when Emilian Jurăscu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-6. Ovidiu Iftodi's late challenge caught a Cimpuri FCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidiu Iftodi helped the player get up and apologised. Ovidiu Iftodi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Grivita FC 1992 - BTF's Emilian Jurăscu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Cimpuri FCM booed when Grivita FC 1992 - BTF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Boian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilian Jurăscu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sergiu Baniu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Grivita FC 1992 - BTF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cimpuri FCM throughout the match.
