After 12 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Abalos saved ionion from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Germany's Willy Stieler got a free kick in the 14th minute. Răzvan Maghiar kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Linus Schwerner in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ionion's Răzvan Maghiar. 24 minutes into the match, Ilie Surugiu notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute, Eugen Albeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilie Surugiu was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, one of Germany:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 60th minute, Ilie Surugiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ionion fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Abalos having to interfere. Ilie Surugiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ilie Surugiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Viorel Neicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Viorel Neicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ionion's attentive Răzvan Maghiar managed to snatch the ball when Willy Stieler made a throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Surugiu came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilie Surugiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
