The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdinand Colin got free with Alin Andronache in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcel Pelin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Fonticoba, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Aurelian Vermeşan came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Valencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelian Vermeşan couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, F.C. Cuza-Voda's Sabin Manole seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sabin Manole the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of F.C. Cuza-Voda protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sabin Manole had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After having played for 35 minutes, Aurelian Vermeşan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Vermeşan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Pelin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Fonticoba in the 37th minute of the match. Aurelian Vermeşan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Pelin having to interfere. A collision led to F.C. Cuza-Voda getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Teodor Caloian hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Fonticoba in the 47th minute of play forced F.C. Cuza-Voda's goalkeeper Marcel Pelin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferdinand Colin made a kick off. Wilfred Conklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Pelin having to interfere. A collision led to F.C. Cuza-Voda getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Teodor Caloian hit a great ball. Marcel Pelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Fonticoba in the 59th minute of play. Froilan Fonticoba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Marcel Pelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Aurelian Vermeşan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcel Pelin. Aurelian Vermeşan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Obregia got free with Marcel Pelin in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leontin Ciolacu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Froilan Fonticoba might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Pelin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Fonticoba ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the F.C. Cuza-Voda defense, Olimpiu Obregia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Pelin. The F.C. Cuza-Voda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Pelin should have stopped the shot. Ferdinand Colin kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Valencia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
