Spectators: 7374 (Terracing: 5532, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Iustinian Gogu made the kick off which started today's match. When Iustin Lupoi came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Vaii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Lupoi couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute, Vasile Ghionaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petrică Gurzău was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 11 minutes, Radu Pogea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parau and the Vaii players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Parau's Radu Pogea got a free kick in the 11th minute. Vasile Ghionaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Petrică Gurzău made a huge save. Emilian Cernescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Capătă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iustin Lupoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Gurzău having to interfere. Tudor Capătă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Cernescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustinian Gogu in the 28th minute of the match. Petrică Gurzău made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Vasile Ghionaru sent off a good shot on target. If Tudor Capătă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaii's Emilian Cernescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustinian Gogu in the 36th minute of play. Alin Vasilache came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Petrică Gurzău could save by the left post. The supporters of Parau booed when Vaii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Vasilache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristide Bărnuțiu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Vasile Ghionaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iustin Lupoi made a kick off. Petrică Gurzău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Lupoi in the 52nd minute of the match. Tudor Capătă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Emilian Cernescu made a huge save. Vaii's Emilian Cernescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustinian Gogu in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Vasile Ghionaru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Petrică Gurzău was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Vasile Ghionaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Radu Pogea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilian Cernescu. Vaii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radu Pogea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Tudor Capătă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Cernescu having to interfere. Tudor Capătă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vaii's Ştefan Bran got a free kick in the 88th minute. Petrică Gurzău came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Vaii's Iustin Lupoi. But to his dismay, Iustin Lupoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 94th minute, Ernest Stoiculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaii's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
