Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis De Marco in the 13th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Augusto Presutti fired a really elegant long shot, but Tommy Kahn threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 18 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Daniele Pittelli. Daniele Pittelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Ettore Proia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Manfredonia Calcio 1932 booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Daniele Pittelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugenio Ballerini to make the kick off. If Anfilogino Vani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eugenio Ballerini hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Diego Santovito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Alessio Di Biagio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis De Marco in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Germany's Frank Sachs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manfredonia Calcio 1932's goalkeeper Daniele Pittelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alessio Di Biagio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Augusto Presutti shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frank Sachs charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Sachs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Germany walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
