Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Laurențiu Nestian made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute Laurențiu Nestian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Cernea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ceausu defense, Traian Horațiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eric Cernea. The Ceausu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric Cernea should have stopped the shot. Ionică Dănilă took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eric Cernea. Ceausu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Fabian Pipirig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceausu's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Pipirig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcu Huțanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valer Bănățeanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcu Huțanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ceausu defense, Traian Horațiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eric Cernea. The Ceausu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric Cernea should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sabin Belu got free with Marcu Huțanu in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the game, Steaua Falticeni's Traian Horațiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Cernea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Eric Cernea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Horațiu in the 31st minute of the match. Marcu Huțanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sabin Belu in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traian Horațiu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Cernea saved Ceausu from getting behind. When Steaua Falticeni's Laurențiu Nestian in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ceausu's goalie prevented a goal. Traian Horațiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Cernea having to interfere. Steaua Falticeni's Pavel Pintilescu was substituted for Traian Horațiu. Eric Cernea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Pintilescu in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Steaua Falticeni were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Pipirig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laurențiu Nestian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Cernea having to interfere. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ceausu's goalkeeper Eric Cernea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Eric Cernea managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Steaua Falticeni's Pavel Pintilescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Laurențiu Nestian took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Eric Cernea to make any attempt to save it. In the 65th minute, Laurențiu Nestian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eric Cernea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Doru Marinică showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 67 minute of play. Steaua Falticeni's Osmar de Amaral quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sorin Coroian, made in the 70th minute of the game. Laurențiu Nestian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Cernea having to interfere. Valeriu Ciucă's late challenge caught a Steaua Falticeni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriu Ciucă helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ceausu getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Valeriu Ciucă hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Sorin Coroian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pavel Pintilescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Eric Cernea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Valeriu Ciucă was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Ceausu's Valeriu Ciucă got a free kick in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Ceausu's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Nestian came free, but Eric Cernea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ceausu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Steaua Falticeni were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
