Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vali Octavian started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marian Măndica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Cubleșan having to interfere. Horaţiu Cubleșan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Crușeveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vali Octavians short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Cosmin Pădureanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vali Octavian in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosmin Pădureanu saved Rapid Bucuresti from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Vali Octavian put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cosmin Pădureanu. Pernesti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciprian Macaneață in the 24th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ciprian Macaneață got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cosmin Pădureanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Vali Octavian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pernesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Vali Octavian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosmin Pădureanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marian Măndica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Ferdinand Buzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes, Ioan Şerbănescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pernesti and the Rapid Bucuresti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ioan Şerbănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Niculae Mohora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Cubleșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pernesti getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ferdinand Buzea hit a great ball. If Iustin Chiriac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marian Măndica came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Rapid Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Măndica couldn't finish the play. After 45th play minutes Vali Octavian shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Cosmin Pădureanu and just under the crossbar into goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cosmin Pădureanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosmin Pădureanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciprian Macaneață went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iustinian Popeangă during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iustinian Popeangă kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Ciprian Macaneață had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciprian Macaneață recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gheorghe Crușeveanu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Vali Octavian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosmin Pădureanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Ciprian Macaneață received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Cosmin Pădureanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes, Pernesti's Dragoş Geamănu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cosmin Pădureanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pernesti reached it. Pernesti were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rapid Bucuresti for a fine match.
