But to his dismay, Dinu Cernat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 17 played minutes Rapid Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Crușeveanu. If Valentin Titulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rapid Bucuresti's Cosmin Pădureanu got control of the ball when Dinu Cernat tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Cornel Miclovan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olosig CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapid Bucuresti the free kick. After a rather tough play, Olosig CF's Cornel Miclovan got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Rapid Bucuresti's Cosmin Pădureanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Titulescu in the 35th minute of play. Gheorghe Crușeveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Liviu Ioanițiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Olosig CF's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Crușeveanu came free, but Liviu Ioanițiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Valentin Titulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olosig CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Titulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosmin Pădureanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cosmin Pădureanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Titulescu in the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Titulescu in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosmin Pădureanu saved Rapid Bucuresti from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Titulescu in the 79th minute of play forced Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper Cosmin Pădureanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Gheorghe Crușeveanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Valentin Titulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Măndica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Liviu Ioanițiu made a huge save. After having played for 84 minutes, Iustin Chiriac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Bucuresti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Chiriac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gheorghe Crușeveanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liviu Ioanițiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gheorghe Crușeveanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Valentin Titulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cosmin Pădureanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosmin Pădureanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Titulescu's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Cornel Miclovan scored 4-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosmin Pădureanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dinu Cernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Pădureanu having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olosig CF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rapid Bucuresti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
