Spectators: 6708 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Petre Răduța kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Sigau's Iacob Busuioceanu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Călin Pască made in the 8th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Marian Baldovinescu immediately put the ball in play. 11 minutes into the match, Ioan Soare notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sigau's Iurie Daimacă. Iurie Daimacă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Petre Răduța got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Sergiu Gherguț got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute of the game Călin Pască made a throw-in which Marian Baldovinescu played forward. FC Maramures's Sorin Marchiș quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marian Baldovinescu, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Sorin Marchiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Daimacă having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Alexandru Buzea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sigau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Maramures the free kick. In the 26th minute, Alexandru Buzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ioan Soare in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iurie Daimacă saved Sigau from getting behind. 29 minutes into the game, Ioan Soare cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Iurie Daimacă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Viorel Macavei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Iurie Daimacă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ioan Soare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Daimacă having to interfere. In the 40th minute of the game Călin Pască made a throw-in which Marian Baldovinescu played forward. Iurie Daimacă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Soare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Cezmi Keskin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Maramures's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sigau the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of FC Maramures:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sigau:s goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ioan Soare was the one to do the kick off. Codruț Grămescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes FC Maramures got a freekick which was hit by Leszek Indyk. 74 minutes into the match, Ioan Soare dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iurie Daimacă, 1-3. In the 77th minute, FC Maramures's Ioan Soare ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iurie Daimacă. Iurie Daimacă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. If Ioan Soare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 played minutes FC Maramures got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Adomniței. 89 minutes into the game, one of FC Maramures:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Felix Rednic went to the wrong direction when Alexandru Buzea was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. FC Maramures's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
