Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nicolae Gioagă kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergiu Gherguț during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Maramures getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sergiu Gherguț hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the game, FC Maramures's Ioan Soare nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Baicea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Macavei in the 17th minute of play forced Sipote's goalkeeper Dan Baicea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Ioan Soare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Maramures fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ioan Soare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dan Baicea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute of the match Maxim Adomniței shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dan Baicea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ioan Soare sped through Sipote's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dan Baicea. After 30 minutes, Maxim Adomniței mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Maramures and the Sipote players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sorin Marchiș charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sorin Marchiș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience held their breath when Pompiliu Danciu in the 36th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dan Baicea's left hand side. 39 minutes into the match, Sergiu Gherguț notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Sipote's Dan Baicea. Dan Baicea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Maramures's Ioan Soare got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Ioan Soare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Dan Baicea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ioan Soare showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 52 minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Ioan Soare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Maramures's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Soare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergiu Gherguț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Maramures's Felix Rednic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Gioagă in the 70th minute of play. FC Maramures's attentive Sorin Marchiș managed to snatch the ball when Ion Cotoi made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. FC Maramures's Sorin Marchiș managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ion Cotoi in the 77 minute of the game. When Ioan Soare came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the FC Maramures fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ioan Soare couldn't finish the play. Ioan Soare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Sipote got a freekick which was hit by Ion Cotoi. A collision led to FC Maramures getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sorin Marchiș hit a great ball. Viorel Macavei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Baicea having to interfere. FC Maramures's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
