Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristian Săliştean got the match started through his kick off. After 8 minutes of play, Red Wings Baia Mare's Robert Şimandan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dragoş Marica was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Săliştean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorel Bărnuțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 18 played minutes, Red Wings Baia Mare's Corneliu Ciutacu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dragoş Marica came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Wings Baia Mare reached it. In the 19th minute Robert Şimandan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragoş Marica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Zburliş in the 21st minute of play forced Berca FCM's goalkeeper Dragoş Marica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Claudiu Spineanu in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Berca FCM's Felix Geangu. After a defensive mix-up in Red Wings Baia Mare's zone, Felix Geangu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matei Giurăscu came out of the goal and Felix Geangu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Junilă kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Red Wings Baia Mare got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Spineanu. After a defensive mix-up in Berca FCM's zone, Robert Şimandan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dragoş Marica came out of the goal and Robert Şimandan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dragoş Marica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dacian Zburliş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Aurel Lung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 49 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Berca FCM's Cristinel Panescu fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Cristinel Panescu made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Red Wings Baia Mare's Claudiu Spineanu got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some careless play in the Red Wings Baia Mare defense, Radu Doicaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matei Giurăscu. The Red Wings Baia Mare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matei Giurăscu should have stopped the shot. Cristian Săliştean came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dragoş Marica could save by the left post. Cristian Săliştean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Dragoş Marica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Felix Geangu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berca FCM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Wings Baia Mare the free kick. Felix Geangu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 77 minutes, Robert Şimandan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Wings Baia Mare and the Berca FCM players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Berca FCM's Dragoş Marica got control of the ball when Cristian Săliştean tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Săliştean made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 82ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Dragoş Marica would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Cristian Săliştean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
