Dragoş Marica made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gheorghe Zglimbea sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Gheorghe Zglimbea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gatejesti SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Zglimbea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dragoş Marica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Bărnuțiu in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihai Vaştag saved Gatejesti SC from getting behind. In the 17th minute Radu Doicaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Vaştag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Zglimbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Marica having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Berca FCM's goalkeeper Dragoş Marica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gheorghe Zglimbea. Gatejesti SC's Mihai Vaştag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Doicaru in the 23rd minute of play. After 28 played minutes, Berca FCM's Ciprian Aldulescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mihai Vaştag came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Berca FCM reached it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gatejesti SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Gatejesti SC:s Mihai Vaştag showed great skill when he stopped Matei Varga:s penalty. In the 32nd minute, Eric Boian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Dorel Bărnuțiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berca FCM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Berca FCM fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Berca FCM's Dorel Bărnuțiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Berca FCM's Dorel Bărnuțiu in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorel Bărnuțiu was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Berca FCM getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sabin Proca hit a great ball. Dorel Bărnuțiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dragoş Marica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Zglimbea in the 60th minute of play. Grigore Taşcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Marica having to interfere. Dragoş Marica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Zglimbea in the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gatejesti SC's Grigore Taşcu got a free kick in the 68th minute. Dragoş Marica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Zglimbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 73 played minutes, Berca FCM's Ciprian Aldulescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mihai Vaştag came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Sabin Proca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Berca FCM walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
