Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dragoş Baltian started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Saftica booed when Veceru CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Bârsescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vintilă Druga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragoş Jivulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragoş Baltian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Vintilă Druga made a huge save. Dragoş Jivulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Druga having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dragoş Baltian got free with Vintilă Druga in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Veceru CSM! In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Saftica. Ilie Nenițescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vintilă Druga. 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Dragoş Jivulescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vintilă Druga, 3-0. Vintilă Druga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dragoş Baltian in the 37th minute. Dragoş Baltian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Vintilă Druga made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iosif Acatincăi was the one to do the kick off. Cazimir Curta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Medeleanu having to interfere. After some careless play in the Veceru CSM defense, Dragoş Jivulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vintilă Druga. The Veceru CSM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vintilă Druga should have stopped the shot. If Dragoş Jivulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Veceru CSM's Vintilă Druga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Jivulescu in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 minutes, Eduard Buciu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veceru CSM and the Saftica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Eduard Buciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dragoş Jivulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute.
