Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tiberiu Mumuleanu made the kick off which started today's match. Robert Zbârlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Cobzeanu having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, FC BALS's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Udurbac came free, but Tudor Cobzeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC BALS's Tudor Cobzeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save FC BALS from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasesti's goalkeeper Petru Mortu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tudor Ivăncioiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BALS's supporters rose to their feet, but Tudor Ivăncioiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petru Mortu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petru Mortu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Mumuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Hârlău in the 15th minute of play forced Vasesti's goalkeeper Petru Mortu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Vasesti defense, Tudor Ivăncioiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petru Mortu. The Vasesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petru Mortu should have stopped the shot. Tudor Cobzeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viorel Udurbac's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Viorel Udurbac could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Tudor Cobzeanu made a huge save. Petru Mortu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Ivăncioiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Luca Tarcea fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasesti's protests and gave Luca Tarcea a yellow card for diving instead. Luca Tarcea hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Vasesti's Petru Mortu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Ivăncioiu in the 29th minute of play. If Tiberiu Mumuleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Călin Barascu's late challenge caught a Vasesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Călin Barascu helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes FC BALS got a freekick which was hit by Călin Barascu. If Viorel Udurbac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciprian Hârlău received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Petru Mortu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half FC BALS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Viorel Udurbac made the kick off in the second half. FC BALS's Călin Barascu got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Călin Barascu off the ground. In the 60th minute, Călin Barascu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC BALS's zone, Robert Zbârlea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Cobzeanu came out of the goal and Robert Zbârlea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tudor Ivăncioiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petru Mortu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Ivăncioiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Tiberiu Mumuleanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vasesti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, FC BALS's Ciprian Hârlău got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Petru Mortu. After 73 minutes, Tiberiu Mumuleanu made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Vasesti's Petru Mortu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tudor Ivăncioiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasesti's goalkeeper Petru Mortu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Tudor Ivăncioiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. A beautiful save bye Vasesti's goalie prevented a goal. Petru Mortu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Ivăncioiu in the 95th minute of play. Petru Mortu came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by FC BALS's Tiberiu Mumuleanu. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Mumuleanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When the final whistle sounded FC BALS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vasesti.
