The crowd rose to their feet as ACF Gloria 1922 Bistrita's Iustin Aristide slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mugur Bîndean. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nechifor Penescu in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ion Șişman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Narcis Opriș hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Ion Șişman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nechifor Penescu in the 18th minute of the match. In the last second Mugur Bîndean throw himself and got hold of the ball when Edinson Cavani in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nechifor Penescu in the 29th minute of play forced ACF Gloria 1922 Bistrita's goalkeeper Ion Șişman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edinson Cavani in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Ion Șişman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ACF Gloria 1922 Bistrita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birtin the free kick.
