Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mugur Dănănae got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Mihai Giubelean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC MARAMURES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 6 minutes, Maxim Vulturar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stangaceaua CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxim Vulturar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihai Giubelean in the 15th minute of play forced Stangaceaua CF's goalkeeper Traian Lucaci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelian Bârsan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Traian Lucaci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Aurelian Bârsan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Traian Lucaci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stangaceaua CF's Maxim Vulturar got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Aurelian Bârsan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Lucaci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petruț Braru was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. FC MARAMURES's Erich Henning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Dănănae in the 40th minute of play. After 47 played minutes FC MARAMURES got a freekick which was hit by Matei Necula. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihai Giubelean was the one to do the kick off. Petruț Braru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erich Henning having to interfere. Erich Henning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Căplescu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th match minute, FC MARAMURES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Giubelean to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC MARAMURES getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Norman Whalley hit a great ball. After 76 minutes, Nichifor Neața mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stangaceaua CF and the FC MARAMURES players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Stangaceaua CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC MARAMURES:s goal. The goalkeeper, Traian Lucaci, was totally fooled by FC MARAMURES's Matei Necula, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Aurelian Bârsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihai Giubelean received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Traian Lucaci came out and tried to block the shot, but Mihai Giubelean slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 84th minute. Erich Henning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Braru in the 88th minute of play. If Aurelian Bârsan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC MARAMURES booed when Stangaceaua CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petru Căplescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC MARAMURES had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
