Spectators: 7364 (Terracing: 5524, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Florin Diculescu made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Lucian Ardeleanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, Juventus Filiasi's Dinu Zegreanu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dinu Zegreanu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Juventus Filiasi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dinu Zegreanu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juventus Filiasi's goalkeeper Ziggy Zaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, Iasi's Liviu Troncotă made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ziggy Zaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cornel Tatomir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sorin Alucai hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Liviu Troncotă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Juventus Filiasi's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Tatomir came free, but Ziggy Zaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Liviu Troncotă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ziggy Zaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ziggy Zaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Troncotă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ziggy Zaga came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Iasi's Doru Malcocea. But to his dismay, Doru Malcocea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Iasi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Juventus Filiasi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doru Malcocea fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Iasi booed when Juventus Filiasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Braniște didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Iasi's Liviu Troncotă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Răzvan Istodor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ziggy Zaga having to make a save. Ziggy Zaga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liviu Troncotă went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Doru Malcocea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ziggy Zaga made a huge save. Ziggy Zaga made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Liviu Troncotă sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Liviu Troncotă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ziggy Zaga. That made the score 0-5 in the 75 minute of play. Cornel Tatomir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ziggy Zaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Iasi's Liviu Troncotă made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ziggy Zaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Liviu Troncotă did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Ziggy Zaga 86 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Liviu Troncotă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Liviu Troncotă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ziggy Zaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liviu Troncotă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iasi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
