Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Bârsan in the 5th minute of play forced Tolesti's goalkeeper Robert Gurzău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Gurzău stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelian Bârsan's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Aurelian Bârsan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Gurzău was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 25 minutes in the game, Aurelian Bârsan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tolesti's goalkeeper Robert Gurzău, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihai Giubelean in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Gurzău prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Aurelian Bârsan made a precise shot to the right of Robert Gurzău. Tolesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Robert Gurzău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Giubelean in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Tolesti getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Claudiu Harbuz hit a great ball. Aurelian Bârsan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Robert Gurzău tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tudor Covaci made the kick off in the second half. Tolesti's Robert Gurzău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Giubelean in the 51st minute of play. Robert Gurzău made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelian Bârsan in the 54th minute. Robert Gurzău was a little too slow when Mihai Giubelean got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-2. Erich Henning came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Tolesti's Tudor Covaci. But to his dismay, Tudor Covaci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 66th minute of the match, Aurelian Bârsan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robert Gurzău was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Claudiu Harbuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norman Whalley kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Anton Bucur struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Erich Henning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tolesti. Erich Henning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Covaci in the 81st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Popeneciu during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Emanuel Popeneciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th match minute, FC MARAMURES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Whalley to maneuver through the defense. When Horaţiu Elian fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tolesti's protests and gave Horaţiu Elian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, one of Tolesti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tolesti. In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for FC MARAMURES. Matei Necula stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Robert Gurzău. 1-3.
