In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Marina's goalkeeper Ionuț Radovan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Codrin Plopșor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Sever Sabău successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stelian Surdilă got free with Sever Sabău in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, AC BUCURESTI's Sever Sabău got control of the ball when Stelian Surdilă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Codrin Plopșor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Codrin Plopșor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Sabău having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogdan Cezar to make the kick off. Matei Cocârlă's late challenge caught a Marina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matei Cocârlă helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AC BUCURESTI's Matei Cocârlă got a free kick in the 51st minute.
