Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bogdan Cezar started the match with the kick off. AC BUCURESTI's Niculae Vasilian managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Iurie Barbu in the 3 minute of the game. If Cătălin Miheș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Calistrat Alupoaie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matei Cocârlă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ilarie having to interfere. Nechifor Panaiteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petrică Surdilă came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sever Sabău could save by the left post. Sever Sabău was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Cătălin Miheș capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cătălin Miheș really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 25 minutes of play, AC BUCURESTI's Matei Cocârlă made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Ilarie was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of AC BUCURESTI booed when Bazarghian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Neghină didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Matei Cocârlă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Ilarie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AC BUCURESTI's goalkeeper Sever Sabău, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petrică Surdilă in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sever Sabău, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bazarghian's Valentin Ilarie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Cocârlă in the 38th minute of play. Valentin Ilarie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Cocârlă in the 44th minute of the match. Matei Cocârlă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ilarie having to interfere. After the first half AC BUCURESTI were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cătălin Miheș made a kick off. Sever Sabău showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Surdilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Iurie Barbu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bazarghian's Valentin Ilarie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Bazarghian from getting a goal against them. Bogdan Cezar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Valentin Ilarie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matei Cocârlă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nechifor Panaiteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emilian Covaliu might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Ilarie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilian Covaliu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Matei Cocârlă made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Ilarie. Bazarghian's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. If Emilian Covaliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niculae Vasilian struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Valentin Ilarie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC BUCURESTI. Matei Cocârlă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bazarghian's zone, Matei Cocârlă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Ilarie came out of the goal and Matei Cocârlă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over AC BUCURESTI could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bazarghian throughout the match.
