Spectators: 7381 (Terracing: 5537, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 147) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andrei Prodan kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Moscu in the 6th minute of play forced Suligata CSS's goalkeeper Aurel Ghiciușca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Andrei Prodan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leontin Butuc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mădălin Moscu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 16th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 17th minute, DUNAREA GALATI's Ionică Casian ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurel Ghiciușca. Aurel Ghiciușca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Tiberiu Baldovin struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Aurel Ghiciușca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DUNAREA GALATI. Bogdan Coroian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Leontin Butuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiberiu Baldovin charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiberiu Baldovin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes DUNAREA GALATI got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Baldovin. Andrei Prodan took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leontin Butuc. Leontin Butuc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Tiberiu Baldovin hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Dumitru Dorian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leontin Butuc skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute, Bogdan Coroian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bogdan Coroian came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Suligata CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Coroian couldn't finish the play. Silviu Puiu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Suligata CSS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dumitru Dorian in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ionică Casian to make the kick off. Andrei Prodan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leontin Butuc came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrei Prodan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 51st minute. Suligata CSS's Aurel Ghiciușca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Casian in the 57th minute of play. 2-4 became the score in the 59th minute when Andrei Prodan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Suligata CSS's Andrei Prodan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leontin Butuc. That made the score 2-5 after 63 minutes of play. DUNAREA GALATI's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Andrei Prodan 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-6. Bogdan Coroian was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Suligata CSS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bogdan Coroian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leontin Butuc having to make a save. After 85 played minutes DUNAREA GALATI got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Fulga. In the 86th minute, Bogdan Coroian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suligata CSS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-7. Bogdan Coroian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leontin Butuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The DUNAREA GALATI supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Suligata CSS's performance. The match ended with a win for Suligata CSS.
