If Sever Enciulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Gănescu came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Pitarcesti's Manuel Răchită. But to his dismay, Manuel Răchită quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 47 minutes into the match, FC.Onesti's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Buzatu came free, but Ernest Gănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sever Enciulescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute of the match, Cezar Poplăcan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ernest Gănescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Sever Enciulescu came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FC.Onesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sever Enciulescu couldn't finish the play. Ernest Gănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Poplăcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 94th minute Cezar Poplăcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Gănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Iordache Soare reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernest Gănescu. The goal made the score 1-5. The FC.Onesti supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pitarcesti's performance. The match ended with a win for Pitarcesti.
