The ball went over the crossbar instead. 17 minutes into the match, Balarii UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Gaciu came free, but Ştefan Rădvan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balarii UFC's goalkeeper Ştefan Rădvan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 23 minutes, Aurelian Mineață managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cristolt CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Mineață was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Bâru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ştefan Rădvan was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Balarii UFC's Ştefan Rădvan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Gaciu in the 35th minute of play. Ştefan Rădvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Bâru in the 40th minute of the match. Denis Cămătaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Edgar Zdroană tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cristolt CSS fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Cristolt CSS's Nicolae Gaciu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolae Gaciu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicolae Gaciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Gabriel Bâru who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Ştefan Rădvan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgar Zdroană showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Cămătaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Denis Cămătaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Dinu Diculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolae Gaciu in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ştefan Rădvan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute, Nicolae Gaciu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nicolae Gaciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
