In the 11thth minute of the game Mircea Ciulei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ajax's Taribo West was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nicu Giosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Codrin Ştiubei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicu Giosu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Codrin Antohi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taribo West showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Ciulei in the 25th minute of the match. With his leg Taribo West managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Argeaua AFC's Ilie Tufescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 28 played minutes Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Isac Murgoci. After 30 minutes, Flavius Coșeriu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ajax and the Argeaua AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Argeaua AFC booed when Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Coșeriu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicu Giosu might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Codrin Antohi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicu Giosu ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicu Giosu scored 0-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Codrin Antohi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Argeaua AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ajax were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mircea Ciulei made a kick off. In the 55th minute Argeaua AFC were awarded a corner. Cazimir Tâbârnă went to the cornerflag to take it. Argeaua AFC's Cazimir Tâbârnă was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Taribo West in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Ajax's Flavius Coșeriu got a free kick in the 60th minute. Flavius Coșeriu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Ilie Tufescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mircea Ciulei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taribo West having to interfere.
