Spectators: 6697 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Petrică Bîlbă kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Liviu Stroia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelian Cristocea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Bîlbă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Talmesch CSM's goalkeeper Aurelian Cristocea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Șerban Gologan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cetatele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talmesch CSM the free kick. After 10 played minutes Cetatele got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Gologan. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Cornel Giurgiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talmesch CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornel Giurgiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicu Dragota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liviu Stroia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aurelian Cristocea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 18 in the game by Cornel Giurgiu from a close distance when the talented Nicu Dragota managed to make a qualified save. Cetatele's players were relieved. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Sever Mîțu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nicu Dragota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sever Mîțu in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cetatele's zone, Cornel Giurgiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicu Dragota came out of the goal and Cornel Giurgiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Francisc Geamănu clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. In the 37th minute, Rareș Angheloiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Zbereanu during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liviu Stroia in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelian Cristocea saved Talmesch CSM from getting behind. Petrică Bîlbă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aurelian Cristocea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petrică Bîlbă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cornel Giurgiu made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Cetatele got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Gologan. Cornel Giurgiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Dragota having to interfere. When Cornel Giurgiu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Talmesch CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornel Giurgiu couldn't finish the play. Cornel Giurgiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Dragota having to interfere. Remus Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Dragota having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Cetatele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandru Trandafir to maneuver through the defense. Talmesch CSM's Cornel Giurgiu got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liviu Stroia took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelian Cristocea. Aurelian Cristocea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dinu Cămărășescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Cristocea having to interfere. If Cornel Giurgiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornel Giurgiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liviu Stroia got free with Aurelian Cristocea in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Liviu Stroia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
