When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Emilian Vrabie put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dan Stamate. Sanisor AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Firoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marius Dulca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Fundătoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Dulca in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Boian in the 34th minute of play forced Sanisor AFC's goalkeeper Dan Stamate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sanisor AFC's goalkeeper Dan Stamate, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dan Stamate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Boian, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Emilian Vrabie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Dan Stamate made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Virgil Pască hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Sanisor AFC's Dan Stamate got control of the ball when Emilian Vrabie tried to sneak it across the goal line.
