Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adrian Lechințan kicked off to start the match. Ionuț Murgan made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Damian Asachi sent off a good shot on target. FC Brasov's Ionuț Murgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Lechințan in the 8th minute of play. Severo Darien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Maniu, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare's Adrian Lechințan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 16th minute, Damian Asachi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ionuț Murgan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ionuț Murgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Lechințan in the 19th minute of the match. FC Brasov's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Damian Asachi scored to the left of an out of position Ionuț Murgan, making the score, 4-0. In the 31st minute, Adrian Lechințan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ionuț Murgan. The goal made the score 5-0. Severo Darien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Costea in the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Adrian Lechințan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Murgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionuț Murgan came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Baia-Mare's Costel Druga. But to his dismay, Costel Druga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Nechifor Harhoiu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, one of FC Brasov:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Brasov. Ionuț Murgan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Costel Druga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-0 in the 48 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florin Costea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Asachi scored 9-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ionuț Murgan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costel Druga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Murgan having to interfere. Ionuț Murgan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Asachi's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doru Teofil during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 71 minutes into the match, FC Brasov's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Lechințan came free, but Ionuț Murgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, FC Brasov's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Asachi came free, but Ionuț Murgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 11-0 when Damian Asachi sped through FC Brasov's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ionuț Murgan. Severo Darien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florin Costea in the 86th minute. Ionuț Murgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Pogea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Damian Asachi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ionuț Murgan. FC Brasov's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Asachi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. After some careless play in the FC Brasov defense, Adrian Lechințan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionuț Murgan. The FC Brasov fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionuț Murgan should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Phoenix Baia-Mare were the better team. Phoenix Baia-Mare's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
