In the 2nd match minute, fc.rasnov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Şneapotă to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the game, fc.rasnov's Edgar Vermeşan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Sabău made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gerard Hofman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Sabău having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Vermeşan in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Sabău saved Steaua from getting behind. Eusebiu Tănăsocă kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Irinel Flintașu kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Eusebiu Tănăsocă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicodim Târban. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Pompiliu Boldișor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodim Târban having to interfere. fc.rasnov's Nicodim Târban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Oprea in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to fc.rasnov getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dinu Şneapotă hit a great ball. Edgar Vermeşan took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavian Sabău. Octavian Sabău dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Octavian Sabău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Vermeşan in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, fc.rasnov's Edgar Vermeşan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Sabău made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Vermeşan made a kick off. Octavian Sabău didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Vermeşan went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Steaua's Octavian Sabău got control of the ball when Edgar Vermeşan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicodim Târban stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebiu Tănăsocă's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Nicodim Târban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Tănăsocă in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebiu Tănăsocă in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicodim Târban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Vermeşan in the 91st minute of play forced Steaua's goalkeeper Octavian Sabău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebiu Tănăsocă struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Nicodim Târban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua. fc.rasnov's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
