Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edgar Vermeşan made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Sporting A.E.K. Buzau's Aurelian Mircescu got control of the ball when Edgar Vermeşan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gerard Hofman fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fc.rasnov's protests and gave Gerard Hofman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, fc.rasnov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Hofman to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, fc.rasnov's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Frumușanu came free, but Nicodim Târban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Gerard Hofman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brendon Plank charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brendon Plank the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sporting A.E.K. Buzau's Doru Gârdan got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Radu Covataru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. fc.rasnov's Nicodim Târban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Sfetcu in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Gavril Sfetcu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicodim Târban showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 23 minutes fc.rasnov's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gavril Sfetcu who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Sporting A.E.K. Buzau's Olimpiu Coja to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicodim Târban despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nicodim Târban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Amuguroancei in the 25th minute of play. fc.rasnov's Brendon Plank got his second yellow card of the match in the 30th minute. The referee ordered Brendon Plank off the ground. Nicodim Târban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Frumușanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Irinel Flintașu made a precise shot to the right of Aurelian Mircescu. Sporting A.E.K. Buzau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Dinu Şneapotă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgar Vermeşan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, fc.rasnov's Edgar Vermeşan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cezar Frumușanu to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Sporting A.E.K. Nicodim Târban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Șerbulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Irinel Flintașu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc.rasnov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Flintașu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Vermeşan in the 61st minute of play forced Sporting A.E.K. Buzau's goalkeeper Aurelian Mircescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, fc.rasnov's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Frumușanu came free, but Nicodim Târban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezar Frumușanu let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 64th minute shot 2-2 at rihgt post. In the 68th minute, Dinu Rizescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting A.E.K. Buzau's zone, Dinu Şneapotă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelian Mircescu came out of the goal and Dinu Şneapotă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of fc.rasnov booed when Sporting A.E.K. Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Amuguroancei didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Cezar Frumușanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Nicodim Târban was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 77 minutes of play, fc.rasnov's Edgar Vermeşan made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelian Mircescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dinu Rizescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelian Mircescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Edgar Vermeşan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc.rasnov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Vermeşan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgar Vermeşan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Aurelian Mircescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Vermeşan struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Aurelian Mircescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fc.rasnov. When Edgar Vermeşan came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the fc.rasnov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Vermeşan couldn't finish the play. Edgar Vermeşan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Aurelian Mircescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Edgar Vermeşan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Vermeşan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Mircescu having to interfere.
