In the 18th match minute, Kamena CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Chihaia to maneuver through the defense. Aurelian Mircescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doru Giurăscu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cezar Frumușanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Doru Giurăscu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Kamena CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Giurăscu couldn't finish the play. After 34 played minutes Kamena CSM got a freekick which was hit by Doru Giurăscu. Marius Tudor charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marius Tudor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kamena CSM's Marius Tudor got a free kick in the 38th minute. Doru Giurăscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Doru Giurăscu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Florin Șerbulescu made a precise shot to the right of Eugen Iliescu. Kamena CSM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eugen Iliescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Frumușanu in the 59th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Frumușanu in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Iliescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernest Chihaia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aurelian Mircescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelian Mircescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doru Giurăscu's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Ernest Chihaia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The nice shot from Ernest Chihaia in the 71stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Aurelian Mircescu had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Florin Șerbulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Iliescu having to interfere. When Ernest Chihaia came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Kamena CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Chihaia couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Kamena CSM's Ernest Chihaia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelian Mircescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 85 minutes into the match, Doru Giurăscu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aurelian Mircescu, 1-3. 88 minutes into the game, Doru Giurăscu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aurelian Mircescu. Doru Giurăscu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. 93 minutes into the game, Grigore Ecobici was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting A.E.K. Buzau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kamena CSM the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sporting A.E.K. Buzau fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! When Niculae Onete fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kamena CSM's protests and gave Niculae Onete a yellow card for diving instead. After 99 played minutes Kamena CSM got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Onete. When the match was over Kamena CSM could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting A.E.K. Buzau throughout the match.
